Having been on the School Board for 8 years, it was important to me to vote for the person who I felt would be the best fit for District 2. It is tough leaving the Board, however James Hughes for Clay County School Board - District 2 is an excellent choice to fill the seat. He has experience in the District as a teacher, a parent of teachers, and a grandparent of current students. He can join the Board with knowledge, experience, and empathy for the needs of our children. He has lived in Clay County for years, and he knows the needs of the community.

If you live in Clay County Florida, I hope that you will join my husband, Wayne (a former School Board member, also), and I in voting for James Hughes for Clay County School Board - District 2....and share and encourage your friends and neighbors to vote for Jim, also!

If I was still a voter in Clay County, I can’t think of anyone else I’d rather have on the School Board, helping make decisions related to the education of students.  Jim arrived in Clay County a few years after I did and gave his very dedicated service to Clay County Schools until he retired.  However, he still has a vested interest in Clay Counts schools, especially since his daughter is now a teacher and his grandchildren attend.  Like some of us who run for office, Jim is not a politician.  Jim is an educator and I am confident that his presence on the School Board will be instrumental keeping the Board focused on issues that need to be addressed.  A vote for Jim Hughes is a vote to keep Clay County Schools exceptional.
